A network of local internet home papers called Patch interviewed the team
responsible for getting the Bedford Hill Train Station Bulletin Board Kiosk built
and as the architect, they tracked me down for some questions.  Good reporting
I must say as I had no contact information on this website.  I guess its not so
great to keep your practice underground.  But I fixed it and I look forward to the
article and video.  I am very proud of having designed a public fixture--and for
Bedford's Brenner Builders taking on the build and using NO NAILS.  True
builders understand the intention of the style.  The whole thing was artfully built
with mortise and tenon joints.

01.11.2011
2011 definitely feels like it is getting off to a stronger start.  Having a great
experience at Eric J. Smith, and I have come to the realization that architects
need to treat their "master architects" like a client.  I have worked with very
talented designers and artists, and it is not much different in one sense.  My own
work that had begun in 2004 still follows me with friendships, advice and new
ideas to build upon.  I also changed my phone number.  The logo shows the
updated contact number as 914-482-0005.

11.20.2010
I have been quite busy for the last 6 months.  And I am very excited about work
that continues on, cool work that is happening in my new, more intimate
environment.  The SIPS house is under construction and we are all anxious to
see it appear on the hill.  A very modern and minimalist indoor pool space will
be starting up in Aspen next summer.  A converted candy factory in Brooklyn
will be opening up next year as well, full of reclaimed materials saved from
demolition.  The building has 70 units and the lobby should be ready soon.  A
new garden floor apartment in a 25' wide Brooklyn landmark townhouse is
happening.  Perhaps a long lost project for a loft in Tribeca.  Things are getting
mighty interesting again.

04.15.2010
I will be not be taking on any new projects for an extended period of time as I
will be devoting my efforts to help build a very large residential project in
Greenwich, CT assisting my former Classicist mentor, Eric J. Smith at his New
York City office.  In the meantime, a prototypical  2,000 SF sustainable solar
house project I designed in Westchester will be built by year's end among a few
other projects in the completion stages.  As a corporate entity, Visconti
Architecture PLLC will continue to exist in "hibernation mode" maintaining my
insurance and licenses although I will not be pursuing new projects after April
1, 2010. The economy has created an uncertain environment distinctly different
over the last 2 years and with this new venture, I  will be quite busy producing
wonderful work at Eric J. Smith's firm. I take this leave knowing that all my
projects have been exciting and beautiful and only wish that my clients enjoy
the work for many years.
